Cytogenetic imaging

Genikon® is a cytogenetics platform with an intuitive, easy-to-use graphical user interface, featuring a variety of powerful tools that offer maximum flexibility in daily work routines. Genikon® is scalable from a stand-alone capture station for karyotyping and FISH, to a fully automated metaphase search and spot counter station. All users on the same network can analyze cases from any station, without having to look through a microscope.

The workstation can be configured to meet a variety of needs within your budget, using the different software modules available. Patient data, images and other files are easily managed with Genikon®.

A customizable database with searchable fields enables rapid navigation and data retrieval. Genikon® is compatible with external patient management systems with automatic data import and export (please consult us for specifications). Flexible report templates make it easy to create customizable, user-defined layout templates including images, text and patient data fields. A large library of karyogram and ideogram formats is available for human and other species (animals and plants).

Live image auto-tuning followed by a powerful post-processing algorithm generates high-quality images with perfectly marked chromosomes, even from low-quality raw images. Genikon® is the perfect solution for every cytogenetic and FISH laboratory.

Cytotest FISH probes

 
Cytotest specializes in the design and production of probes for fluorescence in situ hybridization of DNA (FISH). FISH is a powerful technique designed to detect the presence or absence, location, integrity and quantity of genomic sequences in tissue or cell samples. Introduced in the early 1980s as a cytogenetic research tool, FISH is today the most important technique for the clinical diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities.

Since its creation, the company has advanced its fluorescently-labeled nucleotide production techniques from the design to the manufacture of FISH probes. To date, Cytotest has developed and successfully tested a highly diversified range of FISH DNA probes for molecular diagnostic applications in oncology, personalized medicine, prenatal testing, oncology and other fields.

The Cytotest range includes probes for both clinical and research targets, as well as customized products (custom probes). Hybridizer

The CytoHYB CT500 denaturation and hybridization instrument is a programmable system for automated processing of FISH protocols on samples deposited on glass slides.

The machine features a number of advantages, including convenient touch-screen programming, an integrated USB port, unrivalled heating speed and precision, minimal temperature variation and a higher humidity range. A unique design with liquid gutters provides convenient humidification and stable humidity control inside the chamber. The instrument is easy to clean, and there’s no need to use disposable foam strips for humidity, or any other consumables to replace.

Accepting a wide range of sample types, the tray is equipped with sliding guides that hold the slides in place and allow one-handed placement and removal. Its use considerably reduces working time without compromising precision and reproducibility.

The product is suitable for a wide variety of experimental denaturation and hybridization strategies, with four distinct modes of operation: denaturation/hybridization, hybridization, customization and PC processes.
